The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has announced that 755 migrants were intercepted and returned to Libya from 20 to 26 August 2023.

So far in 2023, the number of 10,581 were intercepted and returned to Libya, according to IOM.

In another context, a total of 151 Bangladeshi nationals, who were detained in Libya, were brought back home, according to multiple press reports

They landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 6:45 am with the help of the International Migration Organisation (IMO) from the Benghazi Ganfuda Detention Centre.

Abul Hasnat Mohammad Khairul Bashar, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Libya, visited them at Benghazi Benina Airport on September 4.
