The chaos in Libya, originated by the current conflict between the Government of National Accord (GNA) and the Libyan National Army (LNA), provides criminals, such as human smugglers, with easy ground to thrive. But Libya is not a country for smugglers.
The Counter-Terrorism (CT) force, lead by General Mohammed Zhein, has been carrying out patrols and check points along the coastal route between Tripoli and Misurata to assure that human traffickers are defeated. The elite unit, besides the fights in the Capital, is in fact pursuing the winning strategy of counter the terrorist threat from its roots.
It is known as a fact that attacking the human trafficking network deprives terrorist organizations of their financial means thwarting their operations; the CT unit is precisely targeting one of the main financial mean exploited by terrorists to support their operations especially once they lost other form of revenue like oil smuggling.
