NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUES
- The Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office in Benghazi has ordered the detention of the administrative and financial affairs official at Al-Brega General Hospital. Judicial police were instructed to apprehend and present the financial affairs controller. These measures are taken in connection with cases. They involve misuse of official authority and embezzlement of public funds. The prosecution reported that investigations revealed the defendants’ misconduct. They deviated from their public service duties. The defendants deliberately embezzled 340,000 dinars. These funds were designated to support the medical institution. The support was for medical and auxiliary medical staff. They signed service contracts with offices. These offices were managed by the financial controller. This was intended to complicate inspection procedures. It also aimed to cover up their violations.
- The Public Prosecution ordered the detention of three employees. These employees worked for the National Committee for Desert Locust Control. They violated public interest requirements. The Public Prosecution clarified the situation. The National Committee for Desert Locust Control received chemical pesticides in 2025. These pesticides are used to combat the insect. However, they had been expired since 2007. The Anti-Corruption Prosecution in Tripoli conducted an investigation. It confirmed the violation by the three employees. They violated public interest requirements. The employees received two thousand liters of pesticides. They did so without customs procedures. They also did so without inspection by relevant health authorities.
- Colonel Ahmed Daw Al-Mismari leads the Documentation and Information Office. He works for the Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Agency. The agency released its statistics for 2025. It recorded 1,136 cases. These cases involved 1,796 defendants. The total financial value of seized items reached 220,583,600 Libyan Dinars. Al-Mismari spoke to the Libyan News Agency. He explained the breakdown of registered cases. 704 cases involved trafficking. 382 cases related to drug abuse. 50 cases concerned smuggling. He also categorized cases by the type of seized substance. 769 cases involved hashish. 306 cases were for hallucinogenic and psychotropic pills. 11 cases concerned cocaine. 50 cases were related to local and imported alcoholic beverages.

- Patrols from the Derna branch of the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency began. They started intensive inspection tours on Sunday. These tours covered Derna city. This action followed instructions from the agency head, Major General Salah Mahmoud Al-Khafifiy. It also followed directives from branch director, Brigadier General Abdel Salam Boukar. The agency’s media office issued a statement. It confirmed the campaign’s objectives. The campaign aims to control illegal migration. It also seeks to combat this phenomenon. Furthermore, it monitors all foreign violators within the city. Patrols began operations by setting up checkpoints. These checkpoints were in the city center. They later expanded to include the eastern coastal area. The campaign apprehended several violators. These individuals resided without completing legal procedures. Applicable legal measures were taken against them. The office noted that several foreigners were detained. They were transferred to the agency’s headquarters. - Aisha Al-Abbar, Head of the Comprehensive Libyan Dialogue, announced a meeting today, Monday. It was held at the mission’s headquarters in Tripoli. The Human Rights Office and Political Office attended. They discussed an initiative for prisoner exchange. This involves Libyan prisoners in several countries. The initiative is based on Resolution No. 73 and Convention No. 75. Al-Abbar clarified in a statement to “WAL” correspondent. The meeting also addressed the migration issue. Participants emphasized protecting Libya’s rights. They rejected any imposed decisions. These decisions should not disregard Libya’s sovereignty and legal standing. Attendees discussed the structured dialogue mechanism. They highlighted its importance for activation during the current phase. They also explored mechanisms for selecting its members. This ensures balanced representation and effectiveness.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
- General Staff Major General Saddam Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, arrived in Egypt. He received an official invitation from General Abdul Majeed Saqr. Saqr is the Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production. The visit aims to enhance military cooperation between the two countries. General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, welcomed the Deputy Commander-in-Chief. Several Chiefs of Staff from both the Egyptian and Libyan Armed Forces were also present. The official reception reflected the strength of bilateral relations. It also demonstrated the spirit of cooperation between the two military institutions.

- In a move to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the General Command of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces and the Jordanian Armed Forces, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, conducted an official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan following a formal invitation. An official reception ceremony was held at the General Command Headquarters of the Jordanian Armed Forces. Leading the reception was the Jordanian Chief of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, alongside senior Jordanian military and security officials. During the visit, bilateral meetings were held to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and coordination. The talks focused on exchanging expertise in the fields of military training, development, and capacity building.
