- LSalahuddin Namroush, the Deputy Chief of Staff for the forces aligned with Libya’s Government of National Unity (GNU), issued an order on Friday prohibiting the passage of any unauthorized military vehicles towards the Ras Ajdir border crossing. The directive followed Namroush’s inspection tour of the battalions stationed at the entrances and exits of the Abu Kamash area. A brief statement from the GNU’s Chief of Staff, under the leadership of Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah, offered no further details. Earlier in the week, Namroush visited the Ras Ajdir crossing to coordinate, monitor, and organize the forces assigned to its protection. He underscored the importance of enhancing security measures at the border crossing with Tunisia to ensure its stability and safety.

- Britain has reaffirmed its readiness to provide technical and advisory support to Libya’s High National Elections Commission (HNEC), enhancing its preparedness for upcoming national elections. British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, conveyed this commitment during a meeting with HNEC Chairman Emad Al-Sayah at the commission’s headquarters in Tripoli.
- President of the Presidential Council Mohamed Menfi and Prime Minister of the interim Government of National Unity Abdulhamid Dbeibah discussed several political issues, primarily focusing on bolstering local efforts among all institutions and coordinating international efforts to support national and municipal elections. The meeting, held on Thursday evening at the Presidential Council’s headquarters, was reported by the “Our Government” platform on Facebook.
- Abdulhamid Dbeibah, Prime Minister of the interim Government of National Unity, assured Stephanie Koury, the Deputy Special Representative for Political Affairs for Libya in the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), that he has issued the necessary decisions to financially support the Ministry of Interior and the High National Elections Commission.
