NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUES
- The General Administration of Security Operations of the Libyan government confirmed that the Urban Reorganization Committee, headed by Major General Jamal Al-Amami, is continuing its field efforts to combat fuel smuggling, as part of its ongoing plan to enforce order and eliminate smuggling networks that drain state resources. Al-Amami issued strict instructions to deal firmly and without leniency with anyone proven to be involved in fuel smuggling operations. He stressed that the next phase will witness stringent measures against violators, especially after the stabilization of fuel supplies in the southern region.

- A news report published by the English-language Bengali site “bdnews24” confirmed that Bengali authorities repatriated 928 of their citizens from Libya in three batches last October.Ongoing Repatriations from Tripoli and Benghazi
The report explained that the repatriation flights were organized on October 9, 23, and 30, transferring the migrants from Libya to Bangladesh, while a number of Bengali citizens remain detained in the areas of Tajoura in the capital, Tripoli, and Ganfouda in the city of Benghazi.Diplomatic Efforts to Ensure Safe Return
The report indicated that Bengali authorities are continuing their diplomatic efforts to secure the release of the remaining detainees and ensure their early return, stressing that the safety, rights, and dignity of Bangladeshi nationals in Libya are a top priority for the government. It also clarified that these efforts aim to facilitate the voluntary and safe return of those wishing to leave Libyan territory.

NATIONAL POLITICS AND SOCIAL ISSUES
- The Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund reported that maintenance and development work on the Children’s Medical and Surgical Hospital is continuing at an advanced pace. The Fund indicated that the project is part of its strategy to upgrade the health sector, in accordance with the highest modern technical and medical standards and with the latest specialized equipment for pediatric care. The Fund affirmed that the project aims to enhance the health services system through the rehabilitation of medical departments, development of infrastructure, and modernization of equipment and technical systems, ensuring an integrated treatment environment that keeps pace with global developments in pediatrics.

- The Coastal Security Support Company issued a statement criticizing what it described as the “media play” announced by the government regarding strikes carried out in Zuwara port, considering it an attempt to cover up failure and rampant corruption within state institutions. The company stated in its statement that the government “boasts before the media as if it has achieved a great victory,” while in reality—according to the statement—”it has done nothing but produce a new media scene to distract citizens from the public debt that has exceeded 300 billion dinars, the suspicious deals of the Arnco company, and the millions spent on militia leaders to ensure their hold on power, alongside the chaos and inability to pay salaries.”

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
- Minister of Interior of the Libyan Government, Major General Essam Abuzariba, received the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and his accompanying delegation in Benghazi. The meeting was attended by several heads of security agencies and directors of departments within the Ministry of Interior. According to the Ministry, the visit comes within the framework of strengthening security cooperation between the two friendly countries and following up on prospects for joint partnership.

- A news report published by the Moroccan English-speaking newspaper “The North Africa Post” has covered new international efforts aimed at supporting sustainable water management in Libya and enhancing its efficiency in the face of growing climate challenges. The report clarified that Germany and the European Union have launched a new initiative aimed at improving water sustainability in Libya. It noted that the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) will be responsible for implementing the water resources management facility in partnership with the Ministry of Water Resources in the Dbeibeh government and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). The report indicated that the German and European sides will fund the initiative to enhance local capacities for efficient water resource management, by focusing on modernizing infrastructure, improving water use efficiency, and integrating modern technologies in the areas of management, distribution, and monitoring.
