Interior Ministry of the Tripoli-based Government announced that it rescued 147 migrants of various Arab and African nationalities off the coast of Zuwara in western Libya. The Ministry explained on its official Facebook page that the “illegal migrants” were dropped off at Tripoli Seaport, to be received after that by the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency to take legal measures against them.
Moreover, a fishing boat carrying over 200 migrants and refugees was intercepted off the coast of Lampedusa, Italy and escorted by coast guard patrol boats to the island’s commercial pier, ANSA News reported.
