A diplomatic source revealed Paris gives “Green Light” to Haftar for mobilizing LNA’s 106th Infantry Brigade “Mujahfal” to advance toward Tripoli.
The source, who preferred not to be named, explained that the Haftar-led army would move through Al-Shuwayrif area to enter Salah-ad-Din neighborhood, southwestern Tripoli.
According the source “after a security meeting held into an high-tech military operations room under French command in Benghazi the General Command issued instructions for the Libyan Army forces to enter Tripoli, to liberate it from armed militias”. “The General Command started supporting the Tripoli Liberation Operations Room, where it has sent the 106th Brigade, the Tariq Bin-Ziyad Battalion, the Central Deterrence Operations, the 73rd Brigade and the 166th Brigade of the Libyan Army.”
The news has been confirmed from a Security source in Benghazi as saying that the LNA is still assembling forces southwestern Tripoli.
The source added that “battalions and soldiers have reached the area of Al Jufrah to continue the advance toward Tripoli.”
Al-Munzir Umar al-Khartush, Chief of the Media Office of LNA’s 73rd Infantry Brigade, said that the Haftar-led Army sent “several battalions” toward southwestern and western Libya “ready to move” under Brigadier General Ali Al-Qatani.
