Libyan authorities have recovered 69 more bodies of local residents of the coastal city of Derna, who have drowned in the city where the collapse of two dams unleashed a massive flash flood on September 10.
The bodies were recovered between 6th and 10th of October, according to Ahmed Al-Mesmari, the spokesman of the Libyan National Army (LNA).
This brings the death toll of floods in Derna to 4278, Al-Mesmari said.
However, the Turkish disaster management agency AFAD said it sent 850 tons of humanitarian aid materials to flood-hit Libya. The agency in a statement said it continues its efforts to heal the wounds of Libyans hit by the Sept. 11 disaster
